Hey Curtis that's a nice shark, but by the way you measured it it looks like you robbed your self from about 6 inches.

That shark looks exactly like the one Black Bart caught and Tagged and the Old School caught again and released. Look at the dorsal and the bite marks by the gills. :o

Hi,

If it was the Lemon I caught it was re Tagged before we released it so it would have a Tag. Josh n Zack caught another Tagged one today.. and a 9'6 inch one too...Nice Lemon guys...

I am pretty sure it is the same one Capt. remember they are mating now those tags will come off in a minute at times. Another tagged one? Kewl what's the tag number? 9'6" hard to beat for the biggest lemon. Remember when you guys get lemons that size take all measurements, pics, and documentation necessary since they may qualify for a land based world record....

Excellent point Cudaman. These anglers are already doing most of what they would need for an ILSFA record. Get that girth measurement, correct photos and get that WORLD RECORD!

I hear yah,

That Lemon beats mine from last week by 1 inch .They told me it was HUGE !! The Guys ( Josh n Zack) are working double time and we have been putting together as a team we all have caught some respectibly large SHARKS .. Been alot of fun for sure ,I have myself set on a shot at big Hammer with a Game plan hey yah never know .I wish everyone the" Best of Luck" I mean that for this year I can have my wife ,Tanner and my Daughter Kelly come and watch us fish it means the world to me to have them there a few years back Tanner was ALWAYS in the Hospital so I could never fish as much. As a Team all the members have shown me ,sportsmanship, determination and how to understand and just to try our best and have alot of fun...I fished a bit with the guys yesterday and Josh got a insect bite on his foot I took him for some meds I hope he is feeling better..

Great Job all of you teams and commitee , CapT Bruce

several reasons....
- we love the keys and fishing the keys means bridge fishing
- we don't have a kayak so we let the current making the work for us
- bolo doesn't want his high end gear messed up with the sand
- we like to see things from a higher perspective
- we are different...
It does not bother me fishing on the sand with my Accurate. Since we do not have a Kayak and I am not familiar with the spots up north we did not want to explore during the tourney. The reason why these guys up north are good is experience. They have been fishing those beaches for a long time. You can say it is their backyard.

Maddawg you are 100% right. We all need avoid crowds and buildings, and pick-up after our selves. Do not leave thrash around specially old bait. Dispose of things properly do not throw them in the water.

Thanks for pointing that out Mark.

Here are some stats for those that like this kind of information:

Until the end of week 4 (Officially posted sharks and points)
122 sharks caught and released so far
37 Blacktips/spinners/fine tooth
20 Bulls
30 Lemons
28 Nurses
3 Tigers
2 Hammerheads
2 Sand Tigers

Blacktips over 6’ = 10
Bulls over 8’ but less than 9’ = 2
Lemons over 8’ but less than 9’ = 8
Nurses over 8’ but less than 9’ = 3
Tigers over 8’ but less than 9’ = 2
Sand Tigers over 8’ but less than 9’ = 1
Total sharks over 8’ but less than 9’ = 16

Lemons over 9’ but less than10’ = 9
Tigers over 9’ but less than 10’ = 1
Total sharks over 9’ but less than 10’ = 10

Hammerhead over 11’ but less than 12’ = 1

Tagging information:
Team Black Bart has tagged 25 sharks
Team Old School has tagged 23 sharks
Team Land Pirate Crew has tagged 9 sharks
Team Rip The Lips has tagged 8 sharks
Team Islander has tagged 6 sharks

Sand Tigers tagged = 2

Total sharks tagged = 73
Please remember to mail your tag cards as soon as possible to their respective program.

Out of 122 sharks 27 were over 8’ long
73 sharks have been tagged (This means that 60% of the sharks have been tagged)
1 shark has been recaptured and released 3 times

Great Job Guys !!!

Wow this is so AWESOME to see how many sharks all the teams have tagged. This is only going to help even more prove that Catch n Release is fine. People need to be more educated on what we are doing for these amazing creatures. I feel very fortunate to have praticipated in the NMFS Shark Tagging program that was started back a long time ago by Dr Jack Casey. I have had Tag returns on Blue Sharks , Mako's and a :D SANDTIGER :D She was 3 years at liberty and was caught within 3 miles of where she was released in the Northeast 3 years earlier meaning she migrated from NC to South NJ the same path over 3 years.. I also want to say hats off to all whom have fished hard sometimes you get the bite sometimes you don"t its just FishN :reeling: I have a few REELY nice Prizes to give to the tournament too. We are all going to try our best .Hats off to Josh n Zack those guys r unreal .I fish at least 3-4 days a week with em they fish alot more ! ! Greeny ( Micheal) on our Team I am very proud of you. To see a young man whom has battled cancer at one time and be such a nice kid n try so hard .( I know first Hand with my own son Tanner ) .Great Job Kid !! Ellie thanks for helping take the pictures and everything else when our hands are tied :) Keep on Fishing Guys. :reeling: . Its Not about winning the Game its HOW YOU PLAY IT !! Mark, after the tourney I will be Fishing with yah it will be my pleasure !! I really hope your Daughter catchs the Biggest Shark she has already done well with her SEA Monster Stingray !! :thumleft: :thumright:

I wonder how many Nurse Sharks were caught that was not report because of the tourney Nurse limit?

He post whores from his Iphone on the bridge, his post whoring knows no limits. We had a decent weekend, finished 3 nurses to hit our limit, landed 3 other fat blacktips and lost one bruiser bull to the pilings. Finished off the morning with a few permit while the shark baits were soaking. Ricky or Bolo will be along later with the pics.

Don't forget about the large Mako I lost Saturday. My Accurate 80W was screaming. What a beast. About 100-150yds into the spool before the line popped.

Scott, you know we appreciated your kindness for letting us borrow your yak. But before anything we need practice operating it. The first and last time I was on a yak my fat ass almost sank it. About 200-250yds I pulled a stomach cramp. It was my abs being used for the very first time. I was drifting away while Luis and Herbert was laughing at me. :D

Have you meet their team ? One seaworthy yak sailor in the bunch. Unless you are shooting a youtube version of Titanic please no yaks for this team.
