Any reports?

Post by Loyalist »

Is the pier open?

Why are there no reports?

I am heading down in March and was hoping to spend some time fishing there.

I thought I was replying to the Lake Worth reports!

There is a posting for 2013 reports but no replies.

Or am I looking in the wrong spot!

This is just the general area for Palm Beach county reports. Haven't seen any reports from Lake Worth. It has been a relatively slow witner, since we haven't had many cold fronts to bring the fish down. But there are still bluefish, some mackeral and a few pompano around.

Last year I went out in a drift boat ... was quite fun.

Any other recommendations for getting onto fish?

If your in the boynton area, fish on the living on island time. Snapper and kings have been around. Good luck

I think you haven't seen any reports because fishing from piers and shore has been pretty slow. I DO however actually keep blue runner (pronounced "bait" to some). But yeah... action has been limited for the boatless. I plan on trying again in a few hours at Juno.

There have been snook around, but only hitting on live bait for the most part, spots and croakers have been around from time to time. As I only fish artificial I've been concentrating only on barracuda using tubes. This is an updated version of my tubes, using a ball chain swivel now.

It amazes me that fishing can be so slow over a long period of time.

When I was a kid visiting Florida the fishing was incredible (back then I was at Anglin's Pier)

Now it seems to be slow whenever I go!

We see it slow down here in Canada (freshwater) but we can usually catch something.

Such a big ocean ... "we" must be doing something wrong
