I wouldn't use a fly rod for casting jigs. It's just better to get a light spinning rod for that purpose.

First pomp on the fly today. It hit a #4 tan/white SF clouser while cruising the Banana river flats. These little bastards have been pissing me off for the last 3 years. A little payback felt good.

Lol! Just one question, why are you underlining? You like the TS-350 too much?

Overlining your rod could help out your casting. Less line to load the rod, and thus less stress on you!
