My favorite Snook fly is a White Deceiver tied with a polar bear (subs.) wing with just a half dozen strands of flashabou and a very sparse chartreuse or green topping and plastic eyes.

I usually use super glue for any eyes. It makes handling them alot easier if your coating the heads with epoxy or softex.

Yes, don't buy it. If you go cheap like that, you'll get a cheap rod in return.

Go with a true fly rod, it will be much better than any hybrid rod.
