Pretty 'typical' catches this month sans the usual numbers of flounder and 'bull' redfish,
though some good ones were caught by persistent anglers...

and some even mighty lucky ( me with a CPR 15#...

yep, me and Nate went Sunday morning; it was cold but not too bad. At 5:30ish we were the only people on the pier. Very clear skies you could really see the stars well, mist coming off the water; wind...

It was a flawlessly gorgeous early October morning to be fishing on the coast.

Got a late start, it was colder (low 40s) and cloudier than predicted.
Stopped by Souther-N-Bama and got 2 dozen nice frisky live shrimp :D
Arrived at the Dauphin Island pier at about 10:30 and was...

Yeah, specks are blast on light & UL tackle.
Numerous long runs (well 10-30 yards) and plenty of head -shaking action.
We don't get snook up here, so we have to make do with what we have...

Got a late start watching the radar and hoping the rain would move away from Dauphin Island
before I got there from Mobile.
Stopped by Southern Bama for some live shrimp (they had some nice mixed...
