Place your bait at the edge of channels, should be plenty easy in most places to do that! Get those smells flowing with the tide and you WILL have interest in them.

I've fished the keys for a few years now but never 7 Mile bridge. I fish Channel 5 mostly because I always stay the night (on the bridge) and fish for some big sharks. I went down to 7 Mile bridge...

Duck Key bridge is closed for construction so I'd avoid that area. Long Key Channel 5 and both Toms Harbours are in that area and all produce.

That should give you a huge head start on fishing any...

decided to hit channel 5 saturday night, got there around 11 pm... started fishing catfish all night.. couldnt keep a bait in the water long enough for snapper... they were even eating the grunts......
