Hi.
We will be coming over from the other coast for the holiday week. My 85yr old father-in-law wants to crab and fish a little..
Any spots near Pompano beach that would fit the bill?

Got there around 9:30PM and night started off with a quick walk around the inlet in the back to see if anything was going on there, but nothing.

I ended going surf fishing to the beach right north of dania pier. Stayed there for a bit but the water was very murky so I moved to the inlet behind it. Unfortunately no worthwhile catches. A puffer...

C-14 spill ways have been open, some nice jack and snook have been cruisin the back canals. And last month we even got a red, a red in broward county.

I decided to go out to a nearby canal to fish for an hour or 2 after work using only plastics. I used my new Rapala xrap in white (bought it yesterday). I didn't keep the catch though, funny blooper...
