I love fishing and am sure most of you do, but just because we are recreational anglers doesn't mean that we don't have an impact especially on fish that we enjoy. And we can't blame all fish...

Heard it on local news, entire east coast of Florida
will undergo a complete lockdown on all grouper species from Jan-April 2010
No harvesting may be done recreationally or commercially.

when measuring fish, lets say specifically mangrove snapper, how much do you allow for ice shrinkage ? do some fish shrink worse than others?

i wondered why (when the first time i went on an overnight trip) the captain said the fish like snappers, AJs, and grouper had to be larger than the actual legal size. now i know the reason for sure.
