get yourself a good rake and dont be afraid to get wet. look for little ''V's'' in the surf line when the wave is going out and take a scoop, clean the sand out with the water and see what ya got.

Is there any benefit of whipping your braid to mono knots with dental floss. and if so , how?

No need for whipping your braid to mono. If you don't trust your knot just use a tad bit of super glue and let dry for 30 seconds.

I've recently ditched the swivel and started tying line to line knots such as the uni to uni and the blood knot. I'm fishing a Penn Battle 4000 with 20lb Power Pro Braid on a 7ft Ande Tournement...

That's kind of like a line of drift and bobber/jig fishermen in the Northwest for salmon and steelhead. The lowest guy in line casts 1st and then up the line so everyone is in sync and few tangle ups.

The next time you open a tube of RTV, Glue or 5700 compound, smear some Vaseline into the threads and down the top the tube then screw the cap on and off a few times before puncturing the tube seal....
